I figured I'd write this blog post while the nerves and jitters are at bay! I cannot believe the day is literally tomorrow. To be honest, I tried to get out of this year's runway show, I wanted to use the excuse that because of the pandemic I should cancel it. However, God had other plans and put people in places to help this day become a reality. It went a little something like this...
One night I had a dream that I was in front of a red brick building and I knew it was in Savannah and downtown to be exact. Also, I had a sense of urgency to use an outdoor venue space. I thought nothing of it and only mentioned it to my advisory board member once. She called me a few days later and face-timed me in front of a building that look almost identical to what was in my dream. However, she went around the other side of this building and noticed a parking lot with an opening that looked like a garden so she investigated it further. Here is the funny thing, we were born and raised in Savannah and have never heard of this venue before but it was EVERYTHING that I wanted, of course, I had to travel down to check it out for myself.
When I arrived, the team was setting up for a wedding and I knew then that if I would do a show in my hometown it had to be there. There are countless stories just like this one during the course of planning for this show. I can't take credit for any of it because if it were up to me we probably wouldn't be having a runway show at all. So the moral of the story is, whatever God gives your hands to do, He will make provisions for you!
