Normally, I add some sort of catchy pictures to draw your attention to accompany the message. This blog post will be slightly different, I want to talk about the upcoming holiday we know as Thanksgiving. If we learned anything this year, we certainly learned that we have to be thankful for each day because it could literally be our last!
It's funny how retailers remind us of the upcoming holidays. When you start to see pumpkins in every store you realize that fall is on its way. Then comes the Halloween decor and immediately the Christmas adornments. But what happened to Thanksgiving? It is one of the least promoted holidays yet its meaning is very significant. Beyond the history of Thanksgiving (not to negate that at all), I believe we as a society have moved beyond its intended meaning.
I heard a sermon recently by Pastor Tye Tribbett entitled: "Thanksliving". He talked about how our daily lives should be one of thanksgiving. In our society, we want everyone to see our good deeds and praise us accordingly. However, if no one ever acknowledges what we do, we should still give thanks to our God for the heart to do it.
So how does this all relate to a fashion business such as Courageous Creations? It is this gift to create that keeps me inspired to make new innovative designs for my clients. Being an entrepreneur is not always as fabulous as it looks but as long as the joy of the Lord is my strength, I will continue to create beautiful clothing that helps make women confident and for that I am thankful!
